School Improvement Plan
Goal 1: By the completion of the 2025-2026 school year, the annual pass rate for all students will increase at least 5% from the 2024-25 annual pass rate, resulting in an annual pass rate of at least 76% for Mathematics and 73% for Science.
- Strategy 1: In PLC teams, investigate pacing guides and sequencing to ensure alignment and elevate high-quality instruction.
- Strategy 2: Common assessments will be developed in PLC and data analysis will be conducted following all common assessments
- Strategy 3: School Leadership team will conduct instructional rounds to collect data on quality instructional practices. Will target Clarity and Student Feedback
Goal 2: By the completion of the 2025-2026 school year, the annual pass rate for white and black student subgroups in Algebra I, Geometry, and Biology will increase by at least 5% from the 2024-2025 annual pass rate.
This will result in an annual pass rate of at least 77% for white students and 79% for black students in Algebra I.
This will result in an annual pass rate of at least 68% for white students and 43% for black students in Geometry.
This will result in an annual pass rate of at least 78% for white students and 69% for black students in Biology.
- Strategy 1: School Leadership will provide professional development on clarity and teacher feedback to help support instruction
- Strategy 2: Common Assessments developed in PLC meetings. Staff will share successful Tier 1 instructional strategies as well as Tier 2 and 3 strategies used for students who do not show growth.
- Strategy 3: Targeted Remediation / Review activities for students in need of SOL retakes- Focus on students eligible. Specifically in need of a Mathematics or Science SOL were targeted with an in-person after school remediation opportunity.
Goal 3: By the completion of the 2025-2026 school year, the annual pass rate for Students with Disabilities and English Learners will increase by at least 5% in Mathematics, Reading and Science based on the 2024-25 annual pass rate.
This will result in annual pass rates of 55% for Mathematics, 58% for Reading, and 44% for Science for students with disabilities.
This will result in annual pass rates of 68% for Mathematics, 52% for Reading, and 53% for Science for English Learners.
- Strategy 1: PLC teams will create specific scaffolds/strategies for ELs and SWD through the PLC process on the BP PLC Meeting Form.
- Strategy 2: PLC teams will discuss / review student performance data by subgroup on common assessments to include classroom assessments and school-wide assessments that are given (for example: NWEA MAP data for reading and math)
Goal 4: By the completion of the 2025-2026 school year all parent, student and staff climate and culture survey responses will have an average rating of 3.6 or higher, based on a completion percentage of at least 29% of parents and 85% of staff members.
- Strategy 1: Increase Our Communication with Staff, Students and Parents through the Principal’s Weekly Updates to staff and community
- Strategy 2: Posting / highlighting weekly events occurring at Brooke Point for the community
- Strategy 3: Publicize when the fall and spring survey windows are open and provide completion updates
Goal 5: By the completion of the 2025-2026 school year, the percentage of students who are defined as chronically absent will be reduced by 10%, which will result in a chronic absenteeism rate of 17% or lower.
- Strategy 1: Staff will celebrate students quarterly for low absenteeism, improved absenteeism, and no tardies
- Strategy 2: School leadership will send attendance letters to parents of chronically absent students from SY24-25
- Strategy 3: Classroom teachers will contact families that have 3 absences in their class, repeated each quarter
Goal 6: By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, the school will retain 90% of its high-quality teaching staff.
- Strategy 1: Staff will be celebrated with Staff Shout Outs, Positive Staff Referrals, and Rockstar Parking
- Strategy 2: Administration will provide at least one piece of positive walkthrough feedback each week
- Strategy 3: Climate Survey will be analyzed to determine the degree to which teachers have positive relationships with others, and whether they believe disciplinary infractions are handled with consistency
